Posidonia 2026

Valiadis SA at Posidonia 2026

Posidonia 2026 has now concluded, and Valiadis Hellenic Motors S.A. was very pleased to be present in Athens as part of the HEMEXPO presence. The exhibition took place from 1 to 5 June 2026 at Athens Metropolitan Expo, where visitors could find Valiadis SA at Booth 3.131/21.

From the first hours of the event, our stand welcomed visitors and new contacts from across the maritime world, while also giving rise to many useful discussions. For us, exhibitions like Posidonia are not only about products and solutions. They are also about people, direct communication, and the strengthening of long-term professional relationships.

Posidonia 2026 unfolded on an exceptional scale. According to the organisers, this was the largest edition in the exhibition’s history, with 2,227 exhibitors from 83 countries and territories, a record 24 national pavilions, and attendance that exceeded 40,000 participants during the week.

Within this setting, Valiadis SA shared more of its work in electric motors, special motor solutions, repairs, and marine support, while also contributing to the wider HEMEXPO presence that highlights the strength and outward orientation of Greek marine equipment manufacturing. HEMEXPO’s collective presence was located at Booth 3.131.

Posidonia 2026 offered a valuable opportunity to meet customers, partners, and new contacts, and to further strengthen Valiadis SA’s presence within the international maritime environment.

AEGIS Shaft Voltage Tester

AEGIS Shaft Voltage Tester

Our team recently completed a technical training session with the manufacturer of the AEGIS Shaft Voltage Tester, focusing on the measurement and analysis of shaft voltage and bearing currents in inverter-fed (VFD) motors.

The session included:

• Live demonstration of the instrument
• Signal setup and practical waveform analysis
• Measurement methodology for shaft voltage
• Technical discussion on industrial and marine applications

The AEGIS tester is a specialized tool that allows detection of potentially damaging bearing currents — a phenomenon that can lead to premature wear, especially in VFD-driven installations and marine shaft generator systems.

With the addition of this equipment and the associated training, we:

✔ Enhance our in-house diagnostic capabilities
✔ Support early fault detection and prevention
✔ Add technical depth to our service offering
✔ Further strengthen support for industrial and marine applications

At VALIADIS HELLENIC MOTORS S.A., we continue to invest in know-how and advanced tools to support reliable motor operation in the field.

Rewinding a Frame 400 Motor

Frame 400 Motor

Rewinding a Frame 400 Motor — Precision in Every Layer

Just completed the full rewinding of a Frame 400 electric motor, following a structured sequence of burn-off, insulation preparation, rewinding, and final impregnation. Motors of this size — with a shaft height of 400 mm — are typically used in high-load industrial environments, such as pumping stations, marine propulsion, or process systems requiring continuous, high-power duty cycles.

Process Overview

  • Burn-off phase: All existing insulation and external paint was removed in our controlled burn-off oven, leaving surfaces impeccably clean and fully prepared for reassembly
  • Rewinding: New coils were formed and inserted with precision, respecting slot geometry and thermal design constraints
  • VPI treatment: A full Vacuum Pressure Impregnation cycle ensured complete resin penetration for maximum insulation life and thermal protection
  • Final stage: Taping, slot wedges, varnish, and mechanical reassembly under standard IEC tolerances

From the Inside Out

The detail visible in the stator image reflects what we value in every repair:

  • Material integrity
  • Thermal resilience
  • Mechanical alignment
  • Long-term reliability

In high-power motors, rewinding isn’t just repair — it’s recovery of value, performance, and uptime.

A Day in Motion — Dispatch from Athens Facility

At our Athens facility, motion is part of the daily rhythm. Forklifts navigate the yard, lifting, aligning, and loading. Heavy-duty electric motors — carefully packaged, documented, and assigned — move from the production area to outgoing trucks.

Each dispatch is more than a shipment. It’s the closing step of a process that begins with precision manufacturing and ends with reliable installation at its final destination. Behind every unit, there’s a project advancing, a team preparing, a system in motion.

Operations unfold steadily. Hands work in sync. The yard hums with purposeful tempo.

One of those days. A day when coordination, clarity, and momentum come together.

From production to packaging, from Athens to destinations across the region, everything flows forward.

Status in motion.
