Compact MV Motor
A recently completed project added another custom medium-voltage motor to our portfolio of special executions.
The motor was manufactured with a rating of 390 kW, 6 poles, 6.6 kV / 50 Hz, in Frame 355, incorporating special mechanical dimensions developed to match the requirements of the application.

Compact Design
One of the distinguishing characteristics of this project was the combination of a high power rating with a relatively compact frame size.
Designs of this type require careful coordination between the electrical and mechanical aspects of the motor. The available installation space, thermal performance, insulation system, cooling arrangement, and structural design all contribute to the final configuration.
The project also required special mechanical dimensions, allowing the motor to integrate with the customer’s existing installation while maintaining the required operating characteristics.
Custom Engineering
Projects involving non-standard dimensions demand close attention throughout the engineering and manufacturing process. Mechanical interfaces, shaft geometry, mounting arrangements, and dimensional tolerances must all be considered before production begins.
Each special execution reflects the requirements of a particular installation. While the electrical rating defines the motor’s performance, the mechanical configuration often determines how successfully it can be integrated into the application.
Designed, Manufactured and Tested
As with every special execution, the motor completed the full sequence of design, manufacturing, and testing before delivery.
Projects such as this demonstrate how custom engineering allows medium-voltage motors to be adapted to demanding industrial installations where standard dimensions are not sufficient.
