External WordPress–PHP–Server Tech Collaborator (Freelance)
CAREERS
Who We Are:
Valiadis S.A. is an established Greek industrial company, with a clear engineering ethos and a long-standing presence in the field of electric motors. We’ve just completed a major relaunch of our corporate website — and with it, a technical re-architecture involving WordPress, SoftOne ERP integration, DNS migrations, and custom development.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re not looking to hire an in-house employee. Instead, we’re seeking an independent external collaborator (freelancer) — someone who could work with us as a long-term technical partner on demand.
Your Profile
You should:
- Be fluent in WordPress beyond basic admin — including custom post types, themes, and plugin customization.
- Be confident writing and reading PHP (not just tweaking things — actual programming).
- Know how to interact with APIs (JSON, cron-based syncs, authentication).
- Be comfortable working with cPanel, .htaccess, SSL, MX records, TXT records, and general DNS configuration.
- Be resourceful: knowing where to look when problems arise and not relying on fixed toolkits.
- Be collaborative: we don’t micromanage, but we care about how things are done and why.
- Bonus if you’ve worked with SoftOne ERP or have integrated external business systems before.
What You’ll Help With
Initially:
- Minor refinements and feature enhancements to the new WordPress site
- Finalizing redirects and improving mobile behavior
- Optimizing document attachment structures
- Supporting ongoing integration with SoftOne
- Helping with performance, backups, SSL, etc.
Longer term:
- Occasional upgrades or improvements
- Supporting content updates or new microsites
- Being on call for technical diagnosis if something goes wrong
This isn’t a full-time role. You’d be working ad hoc, remotely, and flexibly, with reasonable deadlines and clear communication.
Why You Might Like Working With Us
- You get to work with people who speak your language (engineers, not just clients).
- We are clear, organized, and respectful of your time.
- We care about quality and don’t chase trends — we want things to work, not just look good.
- The project is already mature, and most of the hard work is done — you’re not putting out fires daily.
- We’re interested in a long-term relationship where you’re the go-to technical person, without us breathing down your neck.
If this sounds like the kind of cooperation you’d enjoy, let’s talk.
